Deeper Understanding of Jesus
Our hope is to develop a deeper understanding of Jesus Christ in our Confirmation Class.
We intentionally work to develop significant peer group experience so each student developes a community.
Build a Faith Foundation
The boys and girls ask deep questions about faith. These questions, guided by teachers and mentors, mold a firm foundation for the rest of their life.
What does Sunday Morning Look Like?
We meet outside the Sanctuary at 9:20AM to go over worship expectations, get name tags, and enter worship together for the 9:30AM worship service. Following worship (about 10:30AM), we get wiggles out by playing icebreakers, and games on the TUMC lawn until 10:50AM. After games, we resume in the Youth Basement for class until noon.
During class, we ask big questions and work together to discern what God has for us in each conversation. The end goal of confirmation is for each student to be confirmed in their own faith as followers of Christ.
Our End Goal
Our goal throughout confirmation is to give students an opportunity to explore their faith and help them find comfort and confidence in themselves. We believe that knowing who we are comes from building a strong foundation in spiritual beliefs between each other and God. Through fellowship with friends and service to our community, we hope to help your youth grow into comfortable and confident adults.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.
